Christensen
Tailoring
Cloth, cut by hand, for the way you actually live.

About Us
A small shop on Larimer, doing one thing carefully.
Christensen Tailoring began with a simple idea: that clothing worth owning is worth fitting properly, and that fitting properly takes time. We work from a single room in Denver's RiNo district, one garment at a time, without a queue of subcontractors between the customer and the cloth.
Some of what we do is bespoke. Most of it is patient work on garments people already love. Both matter to us equally. The measure of a good tailor is not the label sewn inside the jacket, but whether you reach for it the next morning.
Erik Christensen
Tailor
Erik runs the shop himself. He takes the measurements, drafts the pattern, cuts the cloth and does the finishing, and he is the person you speak to at every fitting. Alterations, reconstruction and bespoke work all pass through the same pair of hands. His approach is practical rather than ceremonial: understand how you wear the garment, decide what actually needs doing, then take the time to do it well.
Services
What we do here.
Alterations
Hem, taper, shorten, let out. Precise adjustments to garments you already own and want to keep wearing.
Bespoke Tailoring
Jackets, trousers and shirts drafted from your measurements. A slow process, done properly, from a single pair of hands.
Reconstruction
Restructuring inherited or vintage pieces so they fit the person wearing them today, without erasing what made them worth keeping. Most of this work is a father's suit jacket, a vintage overcoat or a wedding garment worth another generation: shoulders reset, linings replaced, waists redrafted.
Consultation
A conversation about cloth, cut and what you actually need. Bring the garment or bring the idea.

What to Expect
Here is what happens when you come in.
01—First visit
Bring the garment or your ideas. We take measurements, discuss cloth, and give you a clear sense of the work involved.
02—Fitting
We make the necessary adjustments, refine the fit, and confirm any details before the work is completed.
03—Final work
The garment is finished carefully and inspected before collection.
04—Aftercare
If something needs a minor adjustment afterward, bring it back and we will take another look.
"Christensen understood what I wanted without making the process complicated. The fit is excellent, the advice was thoughtful, and the finished jacket feels completely natural to wear."
